We showed up 20 minutes before closing and the staff was nice enough to let us in and cook a great meal for us.

The restaurant looks awesome with lots of hibachi tables all around. Our waiter Josh was super friendly and took good care of us throughout dinner.

I got the sole hibachi and my boyfriend got the filet mignon and lobster one. The chef did his show in front of us and we could see ingredients were fresh and well prepared. The food tasted great, and I couldn't finish all we had (portions are very generous)! It also comes with a soup and salad.

Good place to bring family or go with friends!

Had a company outing here to fit 10 people.
Even with an appointment we did have to wait quite a bit but it wasn't a huge deal breaker. Bartenders at the bar were friendly and we were able to kill time with drinks.
Our chef was definitely an entertainer who had funny remarks to even the clowns of our team.
That's definitely not taught people, that takes some skill! Food was good for what it is. People need to understand you dont come to teppanyaki spots for the quality of food but rather the entertainment aspect while having some food. It's like going to a fair and expecting fair food to be equivalent to a 5star restaurant.
Would definitely recommend this place for large groups. Party of 10 seemed like we were pushing it a bit. I would recommend up to a party of 8 or smaller unless you can fill up both sides the grill (assuming it'll fit 16-18?).

It had been a long time since I had been to any of these Teppanyaki grill restaurants. I was picking a location for a double date and decided to look for one. I remember I really liked Shogun Kobe in my hometown, San Diego... but unfortunately there aren't any up here. I also have never been to Benihana but with the low yelp reviews and the fear of waiting in a long line, I decided not to go there.

I found Koki's on Yelp and they had good reviews. I saw some reviews suggesting particular chefs that made it really fun. I called them to see if I could request a chef and they said no. I figured "what the heck" I'll just go with anyone.

Now I know that the chef is EVERYTHING in these types of restaurants. The chef that we got was named Mario. People come to these types of restaurants to be entertained, see tricks, and laugh at their silly jokes. However, Mario was unfriendly. He did not do any cool tricks except trying to throw rice in our mouths. He was straight up RUDE to one of the couples when they asked him a question. He didn't even do the flaming onion stack thing that they usually do. He cooked our meal almost in complete silence and barely made any interaction with us at all. The whole meal was awkward and the whole table talked about how crappy Mario was after he left.

Now on to the food... it was okay. Tasted like what it should usually taste like at these restaurants but more on the bland side. Would I ever come back here? Probably not. It was a 25 minute drive and the risk of getting another unentertaining chef would deter me completely.

    Really right at 3.5.

    Been here twice.

This last time was kinda whatever.

The entertainment portion of the dinner was closer to 3.

Ya there was the volcano and he threw rice in mouths but that was it.

Food was ok. A bit the on pricey side for the quality and quantity.

Got the combo.  Lobster was great, steak was okay.

Felt rushed a bit.  Like we were in and out in 45 min.

Would come back when other spots are fully booked otherwise I'd probably skip.

Great place, hidden in Tustin. Service is great, and chefs are fun. I had the New York steak with shrimp. My party of 10 all fit on one station. It was my mother's 94th birthday and they had a gold cat with candle and green tea ice cream and song for the birthday girl.
